ALICE at CERN, Geneva, Switzerland

  1. I have worked on the analysis of the test beam from the prototype of photon multiplicity detector (PMD) to be used in ALICE - Published in Nuclear Instrumentation and Methods A 488 (2002) 131-143

  2. Contributed extensively to the Technical Design Report (TDR) of PMD in ALICE. The chapters 2 and 4 in the TDR are my contributions.

  3. The ALICE PMD had to be relocated due to various reasons, that led to writing the Addendum to Technical Design Report where we had to demonstrate the effect of relocation on physics capabilities of PMD. My contribution to this document is a major one, most simulations presented in this document for physics capabilities of PMD are done by me. It includes photon counting efficiency and purity of photon sample, effect of relocation on flow measurements, flow fluctuations and multiplicity fluctuations.

  4. The ALICE PMD geometry is implemented by me in ALICE GEANT/Software framework - For more details, including details of implementation and relevant codes  click here
